The course aims to equip the students with the necessary knowledge and experimental skills in organic chemistry required for planning, understanding and conducting organic reactions and separation in addition to structure elucidations of organic compounds. The skills learned during the course are requisites for higher studies in organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry.
Requirements: The admission requirements are 90 higher education credits (hec) within Science (or 120 hec within pharmacy/medicine), 45 hec of these should be in Chemistry, including KEM030, Organic chemistry, 15 hec or equivalent education.
Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credit points from previous university studies.
