"I like that they try to take care of people here"

Aline Wörle comes from Bavaria, Germany. She is studying Master's programme in Communication. Before this she studied International Management in Germany. Her goal is unclear - studying communication is something she does for herself but she can imagine a career if the job and the timing is right.

“Every day and evening there’s something going on”

AnastasiyaAnastasiya Klyushnikova comes from Novosibirisk, Russia. She is studying Master's programme in Communication. Before this she studied Classical Philology and Business English in Russia. Her aim is to get a PhD position but a career in International business isn't far away. And she still thinks Gothenburg is colder than Siberia.

"Being a Gothenburger is like being a part of a cool gang"

Noor Fatima Ali comes from Pakistan but have lived in Italy for 13 years. She is studying the Master's Programme in Strategic Human Resource Management and Labour Relations. Before this she did a Bachelor in Business Administration in Italy. Her dream is to both become a successful businesswoman and a professor in her field of study.

"People here respect that my cultural identity is different to theirs"

Tanti Kostaman comes from the Indonesian island of Java. While studying for her Psychology Bachelor in Yogyakarta, she took the opportunity to go on exchange to the University of Borås, Sweden. And now, with a scholarship from the Swedish Institute Tanti is studying a Master in Communication.

Viktoria Isaeva comes from Saint Petersburg. There she studied a BA in International Relations with a focus on Nordic countries. Besides her native language, Viktoria speaks Swedish, German and English, and has some family roots in Sweden. Here she studies a Master in International Administration and Global Governance.

Agyat Suri comes from Punjab in northern India. Both his parents are doctors. Here he is studying the Master’s Programme in Business Creation & Entrepreneurship in Biomedicine. Before leaving India he started a magazine, North East Today, and since living in Sweden he has started a software company.

 "Companies here are involved from the start" 

Qiao Hua comes from Chongqing, Southwest China. She is studying a Master of Science in International Business and Trade. Before this she did a Bachelor in Shanghai and worked in Beijing for a few years. Qiao has a Volvo Group Scholarship which includes her tuition fee, mentorship, summer work and the opportunity to do a thesis for the company.
