About refunds

Reasons for granting a tuition fee refund includes the following:

  • You have been denied a residence permit for studies by the Swedish Migration Agency and could not partcipate in studies.
  • You have personal reasons such as serious illness or illness in the family.
  • Extraordinary circumstances that prevents you from participating in studies.

Apply for a refund

An individual assessment is always made whether full or partial refund of the tuition fee can be granted. In order to apply for a tuition fee refund, you must make an official request to the tuition fee team via tuitionfees@gu.se.

You must be able to provide documents verifying the reason for the request. You must also be able to prove that the refund is made to the same bank account which the payment was originally made.

COVID-19

In cases related to COVID-19, students who have paid the tuition fee and who do not register for and/or attend classes are entitled to a tuition fee refund.
