About the Course

The objective of the course is to enable the student to develop an artistic exploratory approach to design in an individual project. An exploratory approach concerns experimenting with materials and methods as well as problematising ideas of what design is and could be. The course consists of a practical individual project and a written assignment in the form of an evaluation of the results of the individual project and its process. An important part of the course are the seminars whereby the projects are discussed from the point of view of the participants’ experience of the contemporary design practice. The course is taught through seminars, lectures and individual tutoring. Each student is assigned an individual tutor who will guide the student during the course.
