About the Course

This course introduces you to a multidisciplinary overview of theories of globalization from economy, security, environmental sciences, social anthropology, gender, migration and post-colonial studies. You are trained in critical reading of key texts for the study of these perspectives but also in the writing of creative and critical analysis of such texts. The aim is to provide the necessary general and deep introduction to Global Studies that also will enable you to bridge your undergraduate experience in order to successfully complete a programme in which breadth and specialisation are required.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum om 30 credits in a subject within the field of Global Studies, or equivalent competence. Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies.

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full course cost: 21 250 SEK
First payment: 21 250 SEK
