About the Course

From an interdisciplinary perspective, the course focuses on relevant current issues of global politics and research, such as empowerment, consumption and risk. The first part of the course will mainly discuss the themes separately. In the second part, students will prepare “conference papers” to be presented at the end of the course. The papers will focus on a particular, locally situated, case and analyse it with the help of the three themes and their interconnectedness.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 30 credits in a subject within the field of Global Studies, or equivalent competence. Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies.
