About the Course

A research method belongs to a set of techniques to investigate phenomena and acquire new knowledge in a systematic way. Such skills are useful not only to scientists but to most job categories in today’s society.

The aim of this course is to give you knowledge and practical skills in research methodology of relevance for the field of IT. After this course you will have an understanding of the philosophy of science, be able to design a research study, and be equipped with a set of (mainly qualitative) methods.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: To enter the course students should have knowledge and skills equivalent to 60 credits in Applied Information Technology on advanced level. The course is given in English and the student should have sufficient knowledge in spoken and written English.

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 225 credits.

Tuition Fee

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full course cost: 35 750 SEK
First payment: 35 750 SEK
