Bachelor's level | 7.5 credits | Course code: EN1001

The course is not given as a stand-alone course this academic year, but can be included in the program/course package. For information contact the department.

About the Course

The course is based on research in ESP (English for Specific Purposes) and explores relevant issues of professional communication in English. It focuses on a range of specific genres, such as written correspondence, job applications, meetings, reports, oral presentations, etc. The course takes a hands-on approach, i.e. course participants will be encouraged to interact with real texts (theirs and others’) through analyses and discussions; in addition, the course will offer opportunities to practice skills relevant to their own language needs.
