About the Course

The master thesis is designed as an individual work and will provide opportunities for you to plan conduct and report a project within atmospheric science. The course can fully or partly be conducted at industry, authorities or research institute other than University of Gothenburg. However, the work should be established and discussed with researcher or teacher at the University of Gothenburg. The topic of the master thesis can be discussed with the master program coordinator prior to the start of the source. You can also choose to perform the thesis with emphasis in some of the subject areas below. For the courses with special emphasis, please contact the student counsellor for additional information.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: Bachelor of Science (biology, chemistry, earth science, environmental science-natural science, or physics) and at least a pass degree on the courses Climate change in an earth system perspective (GVN460) (or NGN160) and Global Change - problem, analysis measures (ES2613) or similar courses. Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 225 credits.

Tuition Fee

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full course cost: 121 000 SEK
First payment: 60 500 SEK
