The student will gain an increased understanding of chemical processes and reactions, which take place in and are important for the natural world. Furthermore, the influence of human activities on the chemical aspects of the environment will be examined in detail. The course places particular emphasis on aquatic chemistry, atmospheric chemistry and environmental biochemistry. The course will provide a

solid knowledge base for topics related to environmental chemistry and teaching, and for further studies in the field.
