About the Course

The course will be offered in 2020 and opens for late registration in December. Contact the department for more information.

Handling the intellectual property today is vital for students and researchers. This course will give you the fundamental understanding of the critical role that property rights play in commercial and research activities within the knowledge economy. The course puts particular emphasis on how companies, researchers and students can use the strategies to achieve competitive advantages in for instance grant applications. The course is divided in three sections, covering overview of rules, basic handling of IP and commercialisation. The course is based on seminars, lectures and case work.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: A Bachelor´s degree or equivalent, e.q. the equivalence to 180 credits or 180 ECTS credits at an accredited university and eligible for studies in second cycle or admitted to a Master´s Programme. To provide the requirement in English by an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS, the English proficiency should be equivalent to the level of English 6/English Course B from Swedish Upper Secondary School.

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies.

Full course cost: 17 714 SEK
First payment: 17 714 SEK
