About the Course

The course is based on research in ESP (English for Specific Purposes) and explores relevant issues of professional communication in English. It focuses on a range of specific genres, such as written correspondence, job applications, meetings, reports, oral presentations, etc. The course takes a hands-on approach, i.e. course participants will be encouraged to interact with real texts (theirs and others’) through analyses and discussions; in addition, the course will offer opportunities to practice skills relevant to their own language needs.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: General entrance requirements for university studies and the Swedish upper secondary course English B/English 6 or equivalent.

Selection: Selection is based upon average grade from upper secondary school (34 %), the number of credits from previous university studies (33 %) and Högskoleprovet - Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (33 %)

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full course cost: 10 502 SEK
First payment: 10 502 SEK
