About the Course

The course has two modules, English Literary Studies and English-Speaking Cultures. The literary module includes both literary primary texts and simpler literary critiques. The students learn how to analyze literary texts with respect to literary aspects, presentation, language and underlying cultural aspects. The culture module is thematic with a focus on sustainable development. The following themes are addressed continuously: peace, justice, diversity and the environment. The module explores different forms of expression such as film and other visual representations and political prose in relation to various cultural and societal conditions

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: General entrance requirements for university studies and the Swedish upper secondary course English B/6 or equivalent.

Selection: Selection is based upon average grade from upper secondary school (34 %), the number of credits from previous university studies (33 %) and Högskoleprovet - Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (33 %)

Tuition Fee

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full course cost: 21 003 SEK
First payment: 21 003 SEK
