About the Course

The second-term course in English has several aims: to offer a more detailed perspective on the structure of English in terms of Grammar and Phonetics as well build upon the foundation provided in the introductory course as regards Academic Writing and Speaking. The course also continues to provide the tools for improved Literary and Cultural analyses.

The course is divided into several major areas of English Studies, namely Literature, Linguistics, Culture, Academic Writing and Speaking, and Phonetics. Compared to the introductory level, the courses at the intermediate level aim at deepening your understanding in these fields through a more theoretical and historical approach.

"Important additional information for the 2020 autumn semester in connection to the corona pandemic: if teaching and examination cannot be conducted on campus, the course will be offered in an online format instead"
