About the Course

The aim of the course is to give an introduction to the rapidly growing field of Quantum Informatics, i.e. taking an informatics view on quantum mechanics. The course also aims at giving a basic introduction to the field of quantum optics, since the concepts needed in these fields to a large extent overlap.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: To be eligible for the course the student must have knowledge in physics equivalent of a Bachelor's degree, including knowledge in quantum physics. A familiarity with the Dirac notation of quantum mechanics is helpful but not compulsory. Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 225 credits.

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full course cost: 14 550 SEK
First payment: 14 550 SEK
