About the Course

A practical and theoretical course on how methods and tools in design can be used to influence basic concepts and approaches in construction.

In matters of participation, production and consumption, the course aims at problematizing how architecture can be adapted in various ways in environmental and social change by seeing buildings as design objects. It is a cross-disciplinary course, which focuses on both design and architecture.

The course will develop your understanding and practical knowledge of architecture as a design area. You will get an understanding and be able to use historical and modern buildings as examples of how design methods and approaches can be used in architecture. A significant part of the course consists personal design work that should be presented verbally, visually and materially.

The teaching takes place in the form of lectures, seminars, supervision and study visits. The course will be given in English.
