Cultural Theories and Practices

Master's level | 15 credits | Course code: GS2206

The course is not given as a stand-alone course this academic year, but can be included in the program/course package. For information contact the department.

About the Course

This course presents a range of different theoretical perspectives on cultural artefacts and aesthetic practices. The starting point is that cultural practices both repeat and challenge constructions of gender, sexuality, class, body and functionality, ethnicity and age. A special focus for the course is artistic production as political activism, in both individual artistic work and as part of the work of cultural institutions.
