About the Course

This course is about the Earth as a holistic system. Students will be introduced to System thinking. A special focus is on the different spheres – lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere – and how they interact to create the planet we are living on. In addition, we will look on the global environmental change from an Earth System perspective covering different time scales: past changes during the Holocene, current anthropogenic perturbations and scenarios for the future of Earth.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: 90 credits in earth science, environmental science or geography.
 

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 225 credits.

Tuition Fee

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full course cost: 14 550 SEK
First payment: 14 550 SEK

EU/EEA citizens, Swedish residence permit holders and exchange students do not pay fees. More information on: http://www.universityadmissions.se
