About the Course

The aim of this course is to give knowledge of Sweden's soil types, their distribution, character and genes. The course also gives an introduction to glaciers and the ice age because Sweden's soil types are dominated by sediments deposited during the ice age. The teaching consists of lectures, group work in field, excursion, laboratory work and seminars.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: 60 credits in the main field of Earth Sciences is required, of which 75 % of the courses must have the grade at least Pass. Student with an equivalent education may be given admission to the course after examination.

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 225 credits.

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full course cost: 14 550 SEK
First payment: 14 550 SEK
