About the Course

The course will provide students with an understanding of fundamental ore forming mechanisms and classification of ore deposits. The students will be trained to use this knowledge to help e.g. identify exploration targets, plan exploration and drilling programs, and to estimate ore reserves. The resource sector, importance of natural resources and future sustainability of the mining industry is also covered.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: 90 ECTS credits in Earth science, of which 90% shall have the grade Pass.

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 225 credits.

Tuition Fee

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full course cost: 14 550 SEK
First payment: 14 550 SEK

EU/EEA citizens, Swedish residence permit holders and exchange students do not pay fees. More information on: http://www.universityadmissions.se
