Regional geology field course

About the Course

The course provides introductory lectures on Scandinavian geology with an emphasis on placing important key concepts into a global perspective. A major component of the course involves visiting rock outcrops in southern Sweden, where students will apply previously learnt knowledge of petrology and other geological subjects, study field relationships between different rock units, and incorporate field tools such as producing sketches, geological maps, and measurements.

Study Guidance

This course is open for late registration during the spring via both as an elective (fristående) and program course.  All masters courses in the Earth Science program are offered in English.

Admitted students will receive an email invited them to register one week before the course.
