About the Course

The present phase of globalization has transformed the global political and economic landscape. This process has influenced global power-structures and the room for maneuver for global and local actors to deal with political and economic issues. In this course we study these contemporary problems, as they are researched and described in the field of international political economy (IPE). From this academic field we also discuss which concepts and theories can be used to analyze global problems. The overall theme of the course is the economic-political change needed to achieve global sustainable peace and development.
