Japanese teaching practice 1, intermediate

Bachelor's level | 7.5 credits | Course code: JP1801

The course is not given as a stand-alone course this academic year, but can be included in the program/course package. For information contact the department.

About the Course

The purpose of this course is to offer Japanese teaching practice to the students who have studied a language subject including teaching Japanese as a foreign language, but have little or no previous teaching experience. It is intended for students who seek a career in teaching Japanese to speakers of other languages. The course focuses on practical aspects of teaching Japanese as a foreign language. Students will attend the supervisor’s courses, make teaching plans and drills and carry out teaching practice with both beginners and intermediate students. The language of instruction is English. In addition, Japanese and Swedish may be used supplementarily where appropriate.

Important additional information 2020-03-16 for the 2020 autumn semester in connection to the corona pandemic: if teaching and examination cannot be conducted on campus, the course will be offered in an online format instead.
