About the Course

The course has a clear environmental focus and aims to develop the ability to understand and describe the integrated relationship between ecological and socioeconomic aspects. Different concepts to produce a holistic perspective on the human and her physical environment are discussed and tested in real life case studies. Starting point is taken in a human geographic landscape perspective and based on this political ecology, resilience theory and socio-ecological systems are concerned.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree (180 hec) from an internationally recognized university in Human geography, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Physical Planning or equivalent, including a thesis of minimum 10 hec. Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of aninternationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 225 credits.

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full course cost: 10 375 SEK
First payment: 10 375 SEK
