About the Course

The course addresses foreign students with the aim of enlarging their knowledge of Swedish and Scandinavian society from cultural and aesthetic perspectives. Initially this course will explore  Scandinavian film and media in a social framework and furthermore focus the issues of music and national identity in historic and modern contexts, using as examples various music genres. The course provides an overview of the development of Scandinavian art and visual expressions and it will also focus other performative artistic expressions such as theatre and drama with focus mainly on Swedish modernism, from the Scandinavian modern breakthrough to the present.

Requirements: General entrance requirements

Selection: Selection is based upon average grade from upper secondary school (34 %), the number of credits from previous university studies (33 %) and Högskoleprovet - Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (33 %)

Full course cost: 42 007 SEK
First payment: 42 007 SEK
