About the Course

The course is about assessment for and of learning, based on research and experiences of educational assessment. The content is presented from a broad and inclusive perspective on various educational contexts, aims, content and methods. The course highlights questions about different actors, interpretations and implications at the individual and system level. Course content is organized in four main areas: • Conditions and prerequisites - Policy documents, organization, similarities and differences with regard to individual and group-related conditions and factors • Basic concepts of assessment - Objectives, knowledge definitions, assessment and analysis perspective, actors, effects and consequences; concepts of validity and reliability • Assessment methods and grading - Different forms of assessment, assessment and grading, assessment at local, national and international level • Documentation and communication - Various forms of documentation, individual development plans, written reviews, programs, portfolios; Different forms of communication about assessment. Course language is english.
