About the Course

Field based qualitative research has a long history in the study of religions. The course addresses current perspectives in the field of research, such as the reflexive turn of the recent decades, and provides skills for research, report- and essay writing. The course provides a holistic perspective on field-based research by addressing the different phases of a project; from project design to analysis and written presentations of field-based material. Emphasis is put on methods for production of empirical material, such as interviews and participant observations, which are discussed from methodological, practical and ethical perspectives.

Important information 2020-03-16 to applicants to the campus alternative regarding the corona pandemic : if teaching and examination on campus cannot be carried out in autumn 2020, the course will be given online instead.
