About the Course

The courses provides skills in analysing discourses and their linguistic form in different cultures and activities from an intercultural perspective. You will study different discourse-analytical theories and methods, as well as factors that can influence interpretation of discourses (for example communicative strategies, multimodality, etc).

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: The requirement for admission to the course is a Swedish or foreign Bachelor's degree (or 180 credits including an individual assignment of 15 credits at advanced level). An additional requirement is English 6 and at least 7.5 credits at second cycle level in linguistics or general linguistics or a language subject or translation.

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 225 credits.

Tuition Fee

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full course cost: 10 750 SEK
First payment: 10 750 SEK
