About the Programme

The programme is intended for those who want to enhance their practical skills as performing musicians and simultaneously reflect on and go deeper into their own artistry. This programme is for those who have a clear idea of what they want to develop. A large part of the work will be based on your own project idea. The programme requires you to work both independently and in groups and that you are interested in formulating your thoughts in writing. We expect you to take responsibility for your own development. Seminars and supervision aim to support this process.

The language of instruction is English.

Requirements and Selection

Requirements: Bachelor degree of arts in music or equivalent, and musical knowledge and skills that are assessed at the admission test and are the basis for selection. Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.

Selection: Selection of eligible applicants is based upon entrance tests. More information about applications and entrance tests can be found at the home page of the Academy of Music and Drama: http://www.hsm.gu.se

Tuition Fee

Application fee: 900 SEK
Full programme cost: 470 000 SEK
First payment: 117 500 SEK

EU/EEA citizens, Swedish residence permit holders and exchange students do not pay fees. More information on: http://www.universityadmissions.se
