Om utbildningen

This course focuses on materials and methods used within interaction design to combine hardware, software and physical materials into working prototypes.

You will study central design materials in interaction design, and ways of prototyping at various levels of detail and functionality in order to understand how hardware, software and other materials can be combined in the design of computational things for human use.

You will get an overview of various design and prototyping materials. The major part deals with sensors, actuators, and the electronic and computational elements that enable and control their behavior in real time in order to realise an intended user experience.

In this course we mix lectures, workshops, and hands-on lab tasks.

You are allowed to choose a path oriented towards screen-based design or physical electronic design, but should be able to present basic abilities in both modalities.
