Student buddies

Student Buddies organise plenty of social activities for international students at the University of Gothenburg. Before arriving in Gothenburg, you can even apply for a personal Student Buddy.

Student Buddies are students with a special interest in international exchange. They work on a voluntary basis for greater integration between international and local students.

Meet them during your first week in Gothenburg

If you are an international student, you will most likely be able to meet the Student Buddies upon your arrival or during your first days in Gothenburg. They will help you to get settled in and their various activities will give you valuable opportunities to meet fellow students.

Social activities and groups

Student Buddies arrange a wide range of activities throughout the year, ranging from language cafés and quiz nights to parties and outdoor activities. They also have smaller buddy groups, some of which gather students with specific interests, such as cooking or photography.
