Housing alternatives

University housing

The University provides 450 rooms and flats that exchange students can apply for.

All applicants are informed about the outcome of their application at the beginning of June for the autumn semester and at the beginning of December for the spring semester.

Private housing

Private housing is accommodation in flats or houses, owned by individuals or property companies that rent out to tenants. It can vary considerably in size, from rooms or small flats for one or two persons to larger properties usually located in the outskirts of Gothenburg. Students will either live on their own or share the premises with the owner.
