Moving out

Before leaving

Cancellation of rental contracts

Written notice must be sent to
More details in the Terms of tenancy.

You will receive the moving out instructions approx. two weeks before your departure. Please read it carefully and follow all the necessary steps. If you have not received the moving out instructions 10 days before your departure, please contact your landlord. Rooms must be emptied and cleaned according to the moving out instructions.
If it turns out that the room is not clean when inspected, we will need to arrange a professional cleaning service and you will be charged for the cost.

Key drop-off

Keys must be returned by noon the day your contract expires. You can only return the keys at your local SGS area office.

  • Remember to lock the door.
  • Return your keys personally. If the area office is closed, drop the keys in SGS mailbox in front of the SGS office. Put the keys in an envelope and write your name, address and room number on it.
  • You can ask a friend to return the keys for you but you are personally responsible for the keys until you have returned all of them. If all keys are not returned in time you will be charged. Do not give the keys to the next tenant.

After leaving

Inspection of your room after your departure

Your room will be inspected after you have returned your keys. It is important that you clean your room and empty it of your personal belongings before leaving according to the moving out instructions.
Important: even if you consider that your room was not clean enough when you moved in, it is not a reason to leave your room dirty upon departure. If you have any doubts regarding our cleanliness standards, it is better to contact us as soon as you move in.
